FEI provides access to the Standard & Poor Global Market Intelligence Capital IQ database to CMC students on computers in the FEI Lab (Bauer Center 3rd floor) and computer labs across campus (Poppa, Ryal, South) marked as having Capital IQ access. (Log in credentials should be on the computer.) Though access is restricted to Lab use, students can utilize the platform to pull data and conduct research. Capital IQ also offers a Help Desk function to respond to student queries directly. Look for Capital IQ icons in campus computer labs.

Global Financial Date

The Global Financial Development Database is an extensive dataset of financial system characteristics for 214 economies. It contains annual data, starting from 1960. It has been last updated in September 2019 and contains data through 2017 for 109 indicators, capturing various aspects of financial institutions and markets. Comprehensive financial data extraction system (requires individual account; immediate access available – approval usually @ 24 hrs – select Claremont McKenna College as the institution. Faculty, staff and graduate students have access to a slightly more robust set of data (in CRSP for example – back to 1925).
